The enfants du parc out for a concert
On June 11, a dozen children of the association Enfants du Parc had the opportunity to watch Charlie Chaplin's film "The Gold Rush" with the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève conducted by Philippe Béran, at the concert hall of Le Rosey.
After being picked up in Plainpalais and driven to Le Rosey by the school bus of the renowned institution, the children shared dinner with the students.
After dinner, the children had the chance to discover the beautiful concert hall of Le Rosey and attend the film screening with a live orchestra. The children were delighted and amazed to discover that a black and white silent movie could be amusing and astonishing. They enjoyed this unique experience and admired the high precision of the musical accompaniment by the orchestra.
In the late evening, the school bus drove back the children to Plainpalais, who were still amazed by their very enriching and inspiring experience. In November, the children of the association will have a new opportunity to go to Le Rosey concert hall. This time they will be attending a hologram concert of Maria Callas, accompanied by the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève.
