Visit to the Maison des Familles Annecy

Mercredi 15 novembre 2017

In October, Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil International (F.A.A.I) visited the Maison des Familles (Family House) in Annecy. This was the opportunity to come back on the results of the first year of activity for the structure. The Maison des Familles founds its origin from an enthousiastic partnership between local keyplayers from Apprentis d’Auteuil and Secours Catholique and the support of institutional partners and foundations ; it was inaugurated in April 2016.

The Maison des Familles which is built like a family house, welcomes and supports any vulnerable family, with the aim of enriching the parenting experience and the mutual assistance between families. The objective is to prevent educational difficulties by relying on the families themselves. It is a place for healing and pausing, anonymous and free of any judgement.

A year after its launch, the Maison des Familles in Annecy has welcomed 120 families, each carrying their own story, culture, knowledge and educational experience to enable each visitor to recreate link, regain confidence and be supported in his parenthood.

The first Maison des Familles opened in 2009 in Grenoble ; there are now 11 Maisons des Familles in France. For further information :  http://www.maisondesfamilles.fr/
